Our Mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly.
In our worship, we desire to surrender to and be fully devoted to one God—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We are passionate about what is important to God.
Jesus calls those who follow Him to love God wholeheartedly and love their neighbors as themselves. Our desire is to demonstrate to the world the extravagant love of God in the person of Jesus Christ. We have been entrusted with a lifesaving and transforming message that we must share with others. Our witness is bold, compelling and fearless. Our mission advances when individuals become disciples of Jesus Christ and join God’s mission to make more disciples.
Our Vision is to join God in a journey of bringing new life, reconciliation, and the presence of Christ to all people, and to helping each person reflect the character of Christ.
Through our ministries, we desire to share the whole counsel of God with all peoples and to advance the presence and fulfillment of the Kingdom of God in every part of the world and at all levels of societies and cultures. The Global Methodist Church is committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the inspiration and authority of the Scriptures, and the work of the Holy Spirit in conveying God’s truth and grace to all people.
We are a global church that recognizes and deploys the gifts and contributions of each part of the church, working as partners in the gospel with equal voice and leadership. Our witness to the world is marked by mutual love, concern, sharing, and a focus on those who are most vulnerable. We watch over one another in love and bear witness to the transforming power of the Good News as we humbly, but boldly, strive to serve others as ambassadors of Christ!
"You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." - Acts 1:8
The Global Methodist Church has adopted Acts 1:8 as our guiding light when it comes to missional work. We believe the most effective missional work comes at the local level by the local church congregations who know the needs the best. In Acts 1:8, Jesus commands His followers to start first with their immediate vicinity (Jerusalem), then to expand to the surrounding region (Judea and Samaria), and then finally to the global level. Glendale Global Methodist Church isn't yet certified as an Acts 1:8 church as defined by the GMC here. However, we are using these same principals to guide our missional work and giving. Below you will find the missions that we participate in directly through our time and resources.
Isaiah 1:17 says, "Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow." With that in mind, Isaiah 117 House was started as a way to love and protect some of the most vulnerable in our society today. When a home situation warrants the removal of a child, that child or children are often brought back to the welfare services office until placement with a foster family can occur. This can sometimes take days. In the meantime, the child is scared, often unclean, and hungry. Isaiah 117 House aims to alleviate that as much as possible by offering a temporary home with loving volunteers, clean clothes, and food until foster placement occurs.
Located in the beautiful rolling hills of Greene County, TN, Holston Home for Children has been serving the children and families of East Tennessee for over 130 years. Holston Home provides a safe, structured environment for children who are no longer able to live at their birth home. While at Holston Home, children attend a private school on property, engage with other children in play and learning, learn to take care of animals and ride horses, as well as learn how loved and valuable they are.
We support Holston Home for Children through our monetary giving and prayer support for the children and staff. Every few weeks Holston Home will share prayer concerns from the kids and we bring those concerns before our Father.
We are a part of the MidSouth Annual Conference of the Global Methodist Church. The churches of the MidSouth Annual Conference have chosen to come together to pool their resources for providing disaster relief to communities in our region. This includes families impacted by tornadoes, flooding, forest fires, and other natural disasters.

We believe we are called to be Christ’s hands to serve, feet to meet people where they are, mouth to offer a comforting word, and ears to listen to a troubled heart.
One way in which we do this at a global level is by partnering with Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan’s Purse to send gifts and care packages to children of all races and nationalities across the world. Last year our church sent out almost three hundred shoeboxes, many with personalized letters of love and encouragement.
